Homework help desparately needed - mortified mum!!

Hi, I am really moritifed that I have to ask your help as only year 4 homework. Was going to name change but what the hell, here goes:

DS1 needs to fill in the blanks to a letter home regarding Earth in Space:

Hi Mum

I had such a cool time on Earth! Their Sun seems to move in the sky, even though it's really staying still. Instead, the Earth is spinning on its own Axis. In the morning and evening the xxxxxx are really xxxxx. In the middle of the day they are really xxxxxxx because the xxxxxx is right xxxxx. They tell me that in the summer the Sun is high in the sky, so the shadows are longer then.

They tell me that in the summer the Sun is high in the sky, so the shadows are longer then.

It sounds as though shadowes are the topic from teh last line so it should probably go somehitng like that.

Thank you so much for your extra quick replies! I have asked my DS but unfortunately he dreams the lessons away so knows nothing - another topic. I have so much learning to do (didn't have a great education due to bumpy childhood!) and don't really know where to start. I think I have learnt one thing and then another pops up. I did trawl the internet but to no avail. Any advice would be brill.

The shadows are really long.

In the middle of the day, they are really short because the sun is right overhead.
