My Dd has applied for a biochemistry degree course and we are trying to find jobs/careers that she can do after which are not medical based fields. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have a BSc in Biochemistry, I am currently a communiciation specialist. Other roles are Analytical Chemist (pharma companies - animal and human), Data Science, Patent Law (EU if she speaks more than one language), and Management. The degree is just the starting point. A science degree gives you maths and data handling experience which are transferable to a range of other fields.

Thanks for the info. She also studies engineering at college, so guess this will help as well. I know there are many options, so getting ideas.

Try talking to the carreers people at college. Or email the university admissions and ask for them to give a break down of the fields that their students end up in (most universities collect this type of information). She will develop transferable skills during the degree so could go into to a wide range of carrers.
