Bishopstortford move/avanti schools

Hi,

we are currently living in London and are considering a move to bishop stortford. We are renters and are looking for good schools. I am insterested in the new development properities and the avanti schools. I have two children in primary and one going to secondary soon. So would need in year transfers. Has anyone got any current insights into the avanti primary and secondary schools and is bishop stortford a nice and safe place to live.

It's a great place for families. With regards to schools - all schools are good which is why it's so popular, for an in year transfer it will likely be a case of taking what's available rather than having a choice I'm afraid.

thank you for your reply. We are very insterested in the avanti schools both primary and secondary. My question is how over subscribed they are and how likely/unlikely it will be too get in if you live on the estates within catchment?

Contact the schools directly and enquire as to the number of places available in the year groups you need. Schools here are mostly oversubscribed but if your child was born in a lower birth rate year then you may get lucky and have some choice.
