My daughter has been bullied all her life and now in her final year her anxiety has got worse . She hates school I struggle on a daily basis to get her in. Can I now get a letter from GP to keep her home until her gcse due in may because it's so draining fir her and myself . School have tried but it's gone to far

It's possible but I'm unsure of how lengthy the process might be.

YoungMinds has plenty of information on how to go about it:

Has your daughter been for counselling at all? I wonder if that along with evidence of going through all the stages of speaking to the school and a GP note should be enough in terms of evidence.

If it's gone too far, then I find it hard to believe that the school has 'tried' enough. The school should have anti-bullying policy - hold them to it. This would preferably be via email so you have a complete written record of what has happened and their actions.

Is changing schools a possibility? Or is your daughter against that?
