Hi,
I wanted to get some advise. Our daughter has SEN needs and we have been going through the EHCP process. At the moment the LA are saying all her provisions can be met under notional budget and have refusal to issue.
We have completed a private SALT assessment which has identified needs and therefore has recommended SALT therapies as well as auditory processing difficulties and therapies for this too.
The school have said they are unable to pay for private therapies and therefore is outside of their budget. If this is the case then our daughters needs are above notional budget and therefore requires an EHCP to meet her need?
Do we go back to the LA and let them know? We are currently in the tribunal process awaiting a date.
Its even more critical at the moment as she is in her phase transfer year and therefore we want to ensure she has the right support in place.
Many thanks
