Temporary accommodation, transport to school

Looking for advice, please.
My daughter and I are currently in temporary accommodation, Travellodge after spending 6 months in a women's refuge.
No public transport and the school provided school funded transport. However the school cannot provide transport anymore.

I'm going to call County hall council and ask for advice/ help.

Has anyone else been in a similar situation or offer any advice that may be of help?

In my experience you might struggle as transport is decided at beginning academic year and they don’t need to provide if you move mid year. If they can fit you on a bus they will but not obligated to fund taxi unless there are no alternative (closer spaces)?
