Does anyone have any insight into the new head? We have been told there is a space for us and we are looking to move from a TW prep where the new head there has just been too progressive for our tastes. We are keen for a community family feel but a much greater academic focus. One child is very sporty. However, having seen a school change quite dramatically under a new head we are a bit nervous. Somerhill is the other school we are considering moving to but they also have a new head starting which is making the decision a little stressful. Husband is v much of the opinion that the higher risk option is to stay put (children in our DCs classes all seem v behind even our local schools and the behaviour in one of our DCs year groups is a little worrying) and that Hilden Grange is perhaps the best fit for our quieter, more academically focused children.
