What do parents want to know about teaching phonics/reading to their children? I’m creating a course to help parents as schools are often pretty rubbish about explaining how they teach it. Can you help?

What experience and qualifications do you have with phonics teaching?

All the approved ssps have parent guides and most have great videos
schools offer workshops for parents
The 2021 eyfs changes required schools to support parents with how to support their children with reading
Since 2019 the Ofsted framework has focused on early reading and phonics including looking at how schools support parents

Why do you think this is a gap?
A quick google provides everything anyone could want including all of the original l&s phase 1 phonics videos on you tube
