I’m just wondering if any other parents have had a similar experience.
My child has been bullied while attending Embley School. It’s been a really upsetting and frustrating experience, and despite reporting it, we feel the school hasn’t taken it seriously. The response from staff has been dismissive, and the support—especially from the safeguarding team and school counsellor—has been extremely poor.
If you’re a parent still deciding on schools, I would strongly advise you to think twice before choosing Embley. Their safeguarding procedures sound good on paper, but in reality, they failed to protect my child. The counselling service also lacked empathy and follow-up support when it was most needed.
I’m posting anonymously because I’m hoping to connect with other families who might have gone through something similar—whether recently or in the past. I’d really appreciate hearing your stories or any advice on how you handled things.
