Hello! I’m starting to think about schools for my daughter, who will start reception in Sept 2026. Our closest schools are Dulwich Village Infants, Judith Kerr and Rosendale.

Does anyone have any feedback on these schools? It would be wonderful to hear from parents. Thanks in advance

My daughter transferred to Rosendale this spring following a move, (year 1) and loves it - she took to it straight away. Nice community feel and the school leadership and teachers seem very energetic and engaged. There is an active parent association that puts on well attended events for kids and families. They go on lots of school trips and the sport provision is great which is ideal for my active girl :) She loves her class and teacher and quickly found friends. The only negative to mention is more behavioral issues in her class (it seems) compared to her old school, though that feels somewhat luck of the draw. IMO, definitely worth consideration/a visit to see if it feels like a good fit for your daughter.

Thank you so much! It is lovely to hear that your daughter is happy there

Can't speak to Rosendale but I know people with children at the other two and on the whole very happy. That said neither school has a strong record (word of mouth) re SEN - DVIS and Dulwich Hamlet (the junior school) slightly worse in the anecdotes I've heard.
If I was choosing I think I'd go for Judith Kerr - ambitious, creative, lovely school environment and very engaged parents. Though as I said, I know people who are very happy with both.

Aawww I went to Dulwich Hamlet back in the 80s. I loved that school so much! Wherever you decide I hope she will be very happy, but want to say thank you for bringing back memories of that school.
