Judd v TOGS Sixth Form

I'd be VERY grateful for feedback about these two schools. I'm new to Kent and have no one to ask! The one person I've spoken to was very (very) negative about Judd (poor/disinterested teachers/macho rugby vibe/lack of help re applying to university). Told me not to touch with a barge pole. Anyone with any advice please.

The major difference between them is that TGS does the IB and Judd does A Levels so I would decide first which of these routes you want to go down and then look for sixth forms that offer the course that your YP wants.

I don’t have direct experience of Judd (although my DS was at Skinner’s which I would highly recommend) but I’ve heard good things from friends whose children are there and they wouldn’t agree with that description , but maybe it depends on the subjects studied. It is highly competitive though, and they highly encourage 4 A Levels (although you can drop one). If your DC is a high achiever and would thrive in a fast paced environment it would suit them.

Thanks for that. DC is keen on the IB. Comforting to hear Judd might not be educational hell! Open evening next week, so I'll be watching closely....
