iGo cards

Well, loosely linked to education I suppose!

What does everyone know about IGO cards in Manchester please? Particularly in relation to school buses? And what’s the deal with the 4 mile benchmark for free buses? Is that 4 miles house to school as the crow flies or 4 miles as in the route of the (bus) journey?

Help! It’s all new territory for me!

I know about Igo cards in relation to trams: I linked my account to her card so I could 'load up' her monthly tram pass on to the Igo and then she could just tap in and out.
It's good to have an igo to use as evidence of needing a child fare even if it' only used eg at the weekend with family.

Also, I think the 4 mile thing is as the crow flies but I'm not entirely sure about that!
