Are schools advertising on other platforms than TES now?

Just had a nose and I’ve never known so few teaching posts be advertised at this time of year. Has anyone else noticed?

We don’t advertise on TES. I think too expensive. We advertise on our county’s school jobs website.

Thanks, are you primary?

yes - but our local senior schools also seem to advertise on there too.

Loads of schools use My New Term now. Jobs are on their website but are also fed to Google Jobs and the gov.uk website.

we use TES and it’s very expensive haven’t had much luck to be honest.

Look at eteach.com for your area.

I think there are fewer jobs right now. I remember the olden days when the TES was an actual newspaper this time of year would yield a bumper edition (thicker than the Yellow Pages).

I’m secondary and all adverts go on the TES and local council website. But it is only a week for the resignation deadline if you want to leave for September. Not enough time to recruit so only the most urgent jobs will be advertised now.

Mostly at this time of year there are hundreds - that’s what’s surprised me really. I can’t believe how few there are.

The biggest job board is Teaching Vacancies - most schools post directly onto this free service or upload their jobs via their application tracking systems such as eteach or MyNewTerm - meaning just one place to check!
