I know it has to be in by the end of this week, but what do I put on the letter.

Is it notice effective of 31st August or the end of a summer term. I don;t want to loose a months pay!

31 August, and then start new contract (if got new job) on 1st Sept.

Thanks, I was just looking through old threads and saw yours about handing in your notice!

I get paid currently at the end of the month. So will I get paid at the end of August by my current school and then in september by new school.

I think my current school pays two weeks behind and two in front so how will that work?

New LEA will also pay at the end of the month.

So I think I am right in saying that current LEA will pay me August 31st and the new LEA at the end of September

That sounds right Twinset.

Yes, old school pays till end of August, for August moneth. New contract will pay for September.

When you get paid will depend on different LEAs - timing may mean you go a week or so lonmger waiting for pay, or be paid a bit early.

It seems a long time ago now since I handed mine in!

Didn't check the date but I know it is a while ago.

Thanks hula
