If a school offered a 50% discount to full time staff, roughly what % discount would I get if I was term time only (but 5 days a week) in an independent school so long holidays. Does anyone know? An approximation is fine!! Thank you!!

Depends on the role. For some (eg teachers who can’t work in the holidays in the same way) it would be 50% for others (eg accounts staff whose function is year round) it would be pro rata over a full year. So if the school is in session 33 weeks of the year it would be around 30%. If you work 4 days year round it’s 40%.

Doesn't that depend on your school's contract? I work at an independent school and get 70% fee remission (my kids are both at state school now, though). It depends on how long we've been working for the school but it doesn't matter whether we're part-time or full-time.

It’s how long is a piece of string. Entirely dependent on your schools t&cs. Only teaching staff are eligible at my kids school, no admin staff. And only for a set number of years. A friend of mine is in the marketing dept of a different school 4 days a week, and gets 50%.
