Any advice on the standard required for the art scholarship and info on the process gratefully received! I’m also keen to hear thoughts on the 10+ and 11+ from an academic perspective.
I’ve heard anecdotally that the pass mark isn’t as high if children are talented in other areas but not
sure if this is true.
I’ve heard 10+ is SLIGHTLY easier to get a place; however, I don’t think we’ll get her Maths up to standard in the time available for 10+, unfortunately.
My daughter is highly creative, possible ADHD, with a strong English bias (128 in verbal cats year 4, despite doing no reasoning at school). She’s currently at a very academic girls school with a very fixed view of what constitutes intelligence. My gut is she’d be better in a mixed setting, with an emphasis on a more balanced curriculum. Not very good at team sports but a very good runner.
