Outdoor Classroom Day

I have just found out our school is doing this - seems a really great idea.

I know mine enjoy being outdoors for play and they have one great teacher who seems to take them out for maths and English lessons all the time. She even set them some 'outdoor homework' to do on the way to and from school with tally charts of car colours.

Is anyone else's school doing this?

Our school has forest school onsite, an allotment area for the children to garden, and teachers are encouraged to take lessons outdoors (we have several areas set up for this). Lucky to be in a rural area where space and nature are bountiful - appreciate this may be more difficult in urban schools.
