Accident at school - should we be informed?

My 6 year old dd came home from shcool with a burn on her arm caused by a glue gun left lying out. It was quite red and blistered by time she showed me. She did not get sent to the school nurse.I feel I should have been informed by the school not by my dd. Am I being unreasonable to expect some notification from the school? Wondering how to politely tackle this with teacher/school.

I think you should ahv been informed. I'd go see her teacher and ask why you weren't

Absolutely you should have been informed. Was she not treated by a first aider at all?

No she was told to run her wrist under the cold tap but not sure if any adult went with her.
