Hey everyone
I am seeking some thoughts and advice from anyone who knows anything about the route onto being a counsellor / psychotherapist.
I actually have done two different foundation years with two different colleges and found myself in a situation both times where I had to defer from continuing onto the diploma (which would qualify me as a counsellor) because of financial struggles.
I am now in a position to go on to the diploma and was going to go with a UKCP and BACP accredited one (where I did my original foundation year) but have come across this one

Whilst it isn't accredited by UKCP, or BACP - it IS accredited by NCPS and you can become a member of BACP once finishing course. TBH I am not sure what the difference is between being accredited or just being a member?
In an absolutely ideal world I would carry on with my original college but this course seems a lot cheaper whilst still looking like the material is good enough to be accredited by and recognised by two of the leading organisations. It works out a difference of about 8K and if I carried on with the original course I would still need to end up in debt
Has anyone here done any training with Heartwood or can give any advice? I have done so much personal therapy and so many other courses that I just want to get it done.
