A Level Spanish tutor AQA

DD about to sit A Levels and needs an A in AQA for uni - can anyone recommend a really good tutor to do 2 to 4 zoom lessons with her over the holidays? Really specific - she knows the holes in her knowledge (grammar and exam technique) so we are looking for someone who knows the AQA exam spec inside out - which is probably more useful at this stage than a brilliant general teacher. Many thanks!

I don’t do Spanish so not offering, but I know the AQA spec (for other MFL but it's the same) and I agree that knowledge of the spec is key. What grade is she working at just now?

If you don't find a tutor, these are the areas I would encourage focus on:

  • For the speaking: good knowledge of stats about the issues, good grammar, practise likely IRP questions
  • For the writing: Key themes and key phrases in TL about them plus technical terms for writing about the film
  • For the reading and listening (the big one): Summaries, focusing on the word count, ticking the boxes and using own words; translation, key vocab; and timing overall so as not to spend too long on the listening
  • In general wrt grammar: Look at where she is falling down (adjective agreement was a big one for DD (in French tho) and irregular verbs is always a big one too) and really focus on learning those aspects
HTH and best of luck to her.

Thank you! Sorry for not replying sooner but that is really helpful. She is a B/A and really wants an A
