Hi all - I’m completely new here but often find myself going through threads to navigate through parenting etc. Finally signed up as I would like some advice between two schools my daughter has offers from (3 years old) - Herne Hill vs Rosemead Pre Prep School.
For background, we are aiming to send her to JAGS / Alleyns and she will be doing the 4+ assessment. In the meantime, she has offers for Herne Hill and Rosemead pre-reception class. Both are great schools and are my back ups if at this stage she doesn’t get JAGS or Alleyns.
Only disadvantage of Herne Hill is that it is till Year 2 instead of Year 6. Hypothetical scenario my daughter doesn’t get JAGS etc at 7+ and ends up getting a place to Rosemead (most students go there but I read it’s a feeder school for JAGS - not sure) but would have to change school again at 11+. Would it be fair to have her change school so many times?
I visited both schools and really liked them - leaning towards Herne Hill but not sure about it ending in Year 2. I was keen to hear from parents of kids who have been to either / both these schools - what did you like (not like) about these schools. What should I be focussing on at this stage? Any guidance will be super helpful! I’m pretty stuck on what to go for.
