MetFilm Manchester

Hi all, offspring number 2 is headed to MetFilm in Manchester in September and we are looking for accommodation. He uses a wheelchair which I’m hoping isn’t a huge problem as there are so many new conversion / builds but he needs to be amongst fellow students (preferably some MetFilm ones but a good mix would be great). Does anyone have any insight they’d care to share please? Does anyone else have a DC on the way there on September? Thanks all.

Never heard of Metfilm. Surely your best approach is to get their advice? It's not just the accommodation, he also needs to be on a good transport route for wherever he's studying (and for having fun).

Thanks @DisplayPurposesOnlyi appreciate your point. I was looking for other parents’ perspectives and experience on the matter.

I think this is a bit of a niche university tbh (it's a private university I gather) so I doubt you will get many views here. I've never seen it mentioned on MN.

I agree you need to contact the uni itself (or rather your son does) to explain what he needs and see what they can suggest. They may be able to point him towards accommodation that will be popular with their students.

Also you might ask MN to move this thread to Higher Education.
