We are looking into putting our daughters in St Andrews in Pangbourne and were wondering if there are any recent parents, particularly of early years kids who could help? Did you find reception was good there? Afraid it might not be as academic as our current London schools. Any opinion would be super helpful!

I don’t know this particular school but having taught in prep schools in London and then out of London, most outside ARE less academic. But this isn’t a bad thing! Most of the senior schools are ‘easier’ to get into than the London senior schools and there is more focus on well rounded children. Look at final results, either where their pupils go on to or GCSE/A level if it’s an all through school then you should see if it’s doing its job.
