Chafyn & Godolphin partnership - United Learning

I'm considering Chafyn Grove for my current Y2 child, but I'm unsure what to make of the news of their partnership with Godolphin and them now joining the United Learning Group. Will this significantly impact how the school is run? Is it a positive indication of funding for the future, or a red flag?

I would be cautious. We are pulling our daughter out and will definitely not send our son there. Staff are leaving in droves. maybe merger, maybe other reasons. I dont know. There are rumours of slipping academics in the upper school. we are not taking the risk.

@ThisAmusedPoster thank you for the reply on this. Can I ask, is it Chafyn or Godolphin you're removing your daughter from?

An alternative we're considering is Leehurst Swan, but I worry for their financials as well

@Rolypolybird1 United Learning has just shut down Godolphin Prep which was a fantastic school with amazing staff, pastoral care and SEN support, so I would be cautious. They have a strong corporate business vibe and all about running a lean mean machine, no time for carey sharey. Whichever school you choose, I would strongly recommend checking their pupil numbers first on the gov.uk website. Some of the Salisbury independent schools are at less than 50% student capacity, so read into that as you will..........
Have you considered Salisbury Cathedral School? They got a new head a year ago and everyone has been singing her praises highly.
