Dear all,

I recently enrolled my daughter in the 2-year IB program starting this September. We carefully considered several schools, including Rossall, King William’s (IOM), and Gresham's, before making our decision. Despite thorough research on Mumsnet, I couldn't find relevant information. However, last night, a Google search led me to an old post from 2023, where a parent mentioned their daughter faced bullying and drug issues during her second year at the school. This has made me quite anxious...
Does anyone have any insights about the school?

Seems odd to let one post from 2 years ago make you doubt yourself and the choice you’ve presumably put a lot of research into. Was it from this thread? As that had both detractors and cheerleaders for the school.

Yes! We thoroughly researched the facilities and academics, and even checked Instagram and TikTok. However, at the beginning of this week, I came across a recent article in the Lancashire Post from February 26 titled 'Nurse subjected to 'witch hunt' at Stonyhurst College overturns NMC misconduct ruling in the High Court.' … and then resumed my research. I guess I'm just quite nervous because this is her first time away from home, and she will be a full boarding student.
