Hampton prep year 2

My DS has an offer from Hampton prep for year 2 for which we need to make a decision very soon. He currently attends a state primary where he is happy at but not challenged enough. We have been preparing him slowly for 7+ for schools such as KCS, SPJS and Westminster. I have three questions:

(1) we will have to relocate for attending the school, is the school worth the move?

(2) should we continue preparing for 7+? How much better are SPJS and KCS to Hampton boys?

(3) Are there any Hampton mums who can share their experience particularly around the coach service?

What makes you think your child will be more challenged at Hampton Prep?
We are moving to Hampton Prep in September for a bigger class size and I would like DC to attend the Senior School in a few years. If I can avoid 11+ then I will.

If I lived closer to SPJS or KCS, I would have tried the 7+ for both schools and got him in.

I would only consider Hampton Prep if Hampton Senior Site is where you will probably end up later. I can’t see why it would be anymore or any less challenging than the other great preps in the area.
