Ibstock place school

I’ve read various comments on the school and also have a friend with a daughter there so have real feedback from them but wanted parents with kids at the school or considering it to give honest thoughts. I think it has so much to offer and would prefer my child to have lots of outside space and not to have to go by bus to external sports grounds and have the opportunity to try many clubs that many schools more central don’t provide.

Hello - I'd be interested to hear what your friend with a daughter said regarding Ibstock? I've read fairly mixed reviews.

She has said very positive things about it and is sending another child there soon. I think there will always be unhappy parents in any school and feel many of the remarks are based from years ago I just was hoping to hear from other parents with kids there now who could give their experiences of the education, clubs, community etc the new technical side impresses me with the robotic, green screen, podcasting etc as well as the art and sport facilities.

Certainly the STEM facility looked amazing and the buildings and sports presented really well.

They spend a lot of money on their marketing though which I felt was a bit unnecessary given it is the fees paying for it - hessian bags, loads of food, wine and canapes, printed prospectuses etc etc .

As you say - there will always be people that are unhappy whichever school and it is hard to get a real understanding from smattering of open days. I hope you get some feedback from current parents.

I'm a parent at Ibstock Place School.
We are very happy with the school and I'm curious to know on which side of the School some current parents aren't happy.
Am I missing something or maybe all the unhappy people either don't have kids at school or refer to old posts?
