Abingdon Pre Prep

We’re currently considering moving DS1 (reception) from his current school for various reasons. If we do it, I want to be as confident as I can be that the new school will be the right fit for him. Abingdon is currently our front runner but I’d love to hear from anyone with recent experience of it! Academics is important to us and so far he’s not massively sporty…

It would help to know what you want from a school? Sports will feature heavily at any private school but I think it does them all a world of good. Preprep is lovely. Year 7/8 are not!

There are lots of prep schools locally to Abingdon, especially if you include Oxford, and they all have their strengths and disadvantages. As with previous posters, if you say what you are hoping to find in an independent school, there are plenty of people who can help,

At Abingdon he will be doing weekly sports matches and daily sport.
