Hi, We are relocating to Cambridge and we are considering Trumpington school for our DC. Can anyone give us some feedback about the school? DC will be entering Year 9.
I am a little bit concerned about a couple of reviews on other sites relating to bullying on the other hand no school is without criticism. Also considering Coleridge and North Cambridge but happy to hear about schools in general. Thanks in advance

I don't know much about Trumpington, but Netherhall is definitely worth a look.

I used to work at NCA. It was reasonably well led but the school always had a tendency to push passing rather than excelling - so for example students were entered for GCSE English lit a year early; they passed with 4s and 5s but should have got 6s and 7s. That’s very NCA. High staff turnover and a lot of focus on tutor groups and pastoral. But the headteacher is new since I was there.

We are in the process of moving our child from Trumpington. Your child will be fine if they are academic and quiet. Less high achieving children or those with SEND really struggle.
