11+ tutor for Newstead Wood school

Hi all,

I was wondering whether you had a recommendation for a 11+ tutor in the Beckenham Bromley area who has successfully helped your child to pass the exam at the Newstead Wood School.

I’ll pm you, I know someone excellent but she’s often quite booked up.

If don’t find someone bear in mind that some of the school Y11 and sixth formers tutor. DD used to do this (doesn’t any longer as she is now at Uni) and had good success rates, she used our dining room and once she was 16 was DBS checked too through her volunteer work with girl guiding. She usually only had two or three at any one time to fit around school work. Feedback from parents was that sometimes they had been paying £50 an hour for a professional but the child didn’t click with them and struggled to learn, with the younger (and cheaper) tutors they clicked and it helped with the tuition. Don’t know how you identify them, DD was always recommended by word of mouth.
