I wondered if anyone can help ...
I am a teaching assistant in a primary school currently on maternity leave.
I have taken the additional maternity pay to top up the standard maternity pay. I understand that if I do not return to work for at least 12/13 weeks that I will need to repay a portion of this additional pay back.
Does anyone know if the 6 weeks holiday counts as part of the 12 weeks? For example, if I was to return to work in July for 3 weeks before the summer holidays and then back again in September.
I'm just not sure whether I will stick with the job as they cannot offer the hours I am looking for. If it doesn't count, I will return to work in September and have more time with my son.
