Warwick university, where to live for second year?

Hi. Please can anyone advise me if there are any areas to avoid in the Canley/Tile Hill area? My son is looking to rent a place for year two in September and is currently looking at houses in the Prior Dream Park area. Is this a safe area to live and to walk back to from Warwick university late at night? Thank you

There is an active parents Facebook page where you can ask - Warwick university parents group - but I haven't heard of any areas that aren't safe.

My son lived for 2 years in different houses in Canley (Gerrard Ave and Sherrif Ave, so right in Prior Deram area). It's an OK area - not the nicest, amenities aren't great, but it's full of student housing and both of his places were decent, recently decorated etc in contrast to his Yr2 place in Leamington Spa. Canley's big plus is that it's walking distance to the Uni of course. He found it safe enough but he was/is reasonably street smart.

O wow, this thread takes me back, lived in Leamington Spa in my second and third year, Brunswick Street then Tachbrook Road. The houses were not nicely decorated lol
