Commute from Notting Hill to Kensington Pre-Prep

Hello all,

Very specific question but does any of you commute from Notting Hill to Kensington Pre-Prep? I have seen the school at it seems fantastic, however we live in NH and wondering if it is worth the pain, given that we also have Pembridge Hall just around the corner.

Any insight would be very well appreciated!

Thank you,
Claudia

I would say make life easier and go to Pembridge hall! I know girls from both schools and they turned out well (now in year 8). At such a young age, best to go with what is close by. They will have more local friends that way and more free time that is not wasted on travel to/from school.

Why Kensington prep may I ask as it’s quite a trek to get there?

I liked the facilities and the track record, as well as the approach to education; but yes it is quite far

There are quite a few families who commute to Fulham from Notting Hill and also the other way for Wetherby. KP is a notch up from PH academically, in my opinion.

I'd say it's only worth it if you truly feel that's the best environment for your child, and you can't do better closer to home. You have so many great options that are closer - Pembridge, Falkner, Glendower, Thomas' Kensington, etc.
