I’ve got a pay threshold meeting this week. Two years ago I was on UPS1 and then got seconded to another school to be put on leadership (L1) for a year. Now I’m back at my original school and they have said that they don’t know what to pay me because I didn’t have a threshold meeting to go up to UPS1 (not my fault- some paperwork just wasn’t done I suppose) so a high level manger from the MAT is coming over to join my HT for the meeting. Initially I was fine about it but I sent an email to my HT to ask if I should bring anything and they came to my classroom for a face to face meeting instead of replying. I couldn’t meet them because I was in the middle of a training call, but it seemed cagey, which tbh isn’t unusual behaviour for them.
Sorry for the essay! Just wondering if anyone has been through anything similar or is a senior member of a trust that could advise. Do I need to worry?
