hi all. My son has a GCSE tutoring but the only interaction is through text chat on zoom. I was thinking of changing him to a tutor where he can interact verbally but not sure if it’s any better or worse. Has anyone had any experience with both and which option is better? Thanks

Definitely he should be able to speak properly to his tutor. Why is it not used on the zoom?

It seems quite strange that you ended up with such tutoring.

The whole purpose of Zoom is video conferencing.

Of course interacting verbally through a video call will be better.

That’s weird.

My child had an online tutor and they used Teams which includes video.

That is odd. I cannot imagine how it would be possible, I tutor online and I use Zoom; if there are glitches with WiFi and audio is not working, we usually have to cancel the lesson. No way could I do it via text chat. What subject is this @Spacemoonpf and how much are you paying if you don’t mind saying?
