It's impossible to predict that. It depends how other PP applicants did. Focus on telling him he did brilliantly but there's an element of luck too so you won't know till March.

I have told him that. I just can't find any data about pupil premium scores for previous years.
It's no different to knowing what the previous years out of catchment scores were and making a rough judgement.
