The secondary school local to me is on the DfE Schools Rebuilding Programme in the first wave (I think) but nothing much seems to be happening. I've got concerns about the plans, but only had vague answers from the school (because, I think, it's the DfE commissioning it rather than the academy trust - so the local people don't really know and don't really have the power to do anything about it). I had a poke around this morning, and all I could find was this story from the BBC: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c0e1zlpxvw7o
Does anyone know of any schools where building is actually happening, or planning applications are being put in?
In case anyone's interested, this piece is quite helpful at explaining the programme from the builders' perspective: https://www.building.co.uk/building-the-future-commission/how-do-we-fix-englands-crumbling-school-estate/5123955.article
