In Exeter, is Pinhoe CofE or Monkerton School better?

We have moved into Exeter and my child has been allocated to Pinhoe CofE School. It has been over two months but she has not settled in fine. Monkerton School is the next primary school nearer to our home. Is it worth giving a try? I know Pinhoe CofE school is an old, well-established school but what is the point if the child is not happy and dreads going to school. Please help with your reviews.

They are pretty close on a map as I remember it.

Have you talk to Pinhoe about your daughter not settling?

I would go for Monkerton if I was feeling that Pinhoe wasn't a good fit for my child.

We lived in Exeter +10 years and both schools were well spoken of by friends' children but one school can be a better fit than the other for a family.

Thank you, @MumChp , for your reviews. Yeah, the distance is not really the concern. My daughter is not settling in and enjoying the school and there are many reasons she gives. The fact that she really misses her previous school could be a trigger, so I thought I would check with others to get general feedback about both schools.

Would be great to hear if anyone has more feedback to share about both schools.
