5c CAT test Y7

Hi, just wondered if anyone could explain a 5c grade in a Y7 CAT test. My son has been offered additional support (with other pupils) because of this result. Is this something I should be worried about? He seems perfectly happy and (mostly) enjoying his school work. Thank you.

They're basically IQ tests that aim to predict GCSE grades (and hence highlight any potential problem areas). For some kids they're staggeringly accurate while for others they're next to useless.

I wouldn't worry about it and engage with the offer of additional support!
