My DS is doing the 11+ at the City of London Boys School and I had a look at what it involves. I understand verbal/ non-verbal but what on earth is 'puzzle and problem solving'. I can't find any sample questions to get an idea either ... DAE know?

I think it is logic quizzes, similar to the ones found sometimes on verbal reasoning tests (e.g., "explore the facts and solve the riddle"), except more expansive. This skill is not tested much on the atom VR test, so perhaps that's why City might have it separately.

I only just came across this post. My son did the City 11+ too recently and at the time I also wondered what that was. Turns out it was mostly maths. Did your son say the same? I wonder how many applicants they had this year, and how many are through to interview.

Hi yes he did, I wonder how everyone has fared. I have only seen one person on MN say they got an interview
