What exactly is it that will be VATable?

Just musing really. Is the legislation proposed specific yet? If it ends up that the sale of education is VAT liable, so education is a VATable good , like chocolate biscuits compared to plain biscuits, would that also mean - that university education is, so uni fees up 20%, that piano lessons are, ditto, also dancing classes, baby yoga classes, NCT classes etc etc? What does the proposal actually cover?

Now that the bar on VAT on education had been removed, in theory yes all those things become potentially subject to VAT.

But there is no proposal at present to apply it to anything other than private schools
