Primary schools near Guildford

I’ve been reading mumsnet forever, but this is my first post here.
We’re moving to Guildford shortly and I’m looking at the primary school options for my DS, starting year 5 in September, (not the best time to move house).
He is very booky and loves science and geography, good at his music and plays some sports. RGS prep is not an option unfortunately. I wondered what would be the second choice. Is Cranmore a suitable one or shall I start looking further out?

It depends where in Guildford you are, whether you want state or private and whether state schools have places, if that’s what you’re looking at.

You are right, I should have added a bit more details. We’re moving to Burpham area, and looking at both state schools and private options.

@Saminam , Feltonfleet would give you the option for him to stay until 13. Otherwise St George's Weybridge to avoid changing schools.
