Chepstow House or Wetherby School

Looking for some advice/information from current parents re Chepstow House and Wetherby School pre-prep please! My son has been offered a place in each school for next September. We haven’t been to meet the Heads of school yet. I’ve had a telephone conversation with both admission registrars are they were very pleasant and forthcoming. Both are non selective although the initial telephone call with the registrar for Wetherby was around 45 minutes and she asked about our educational backgrounds and jobs etc. She also mentioned that they start preparing boys for the 7+ exam from reception if that is something we are interested in (we are). Both my husband and I are academics but I didn’t grow up in the UK although I attended a co-ed private school and feel that it helped me significantly as I’m quite an introvert. I’ve read older threads on here and done some research and the feedback is that both schools are excellent but the atmosphere at Chepstow House is more relaxed and they have access to a larger outdoor space.

TIA

Hi! Where did you decide to go? We really like Chepstow and are wondering about it.

@newintown2025 I didn’t realise anyone had replied but we went with Wetherby Kensington. The 7+ prep swayed us. It’s not a given he will sit for the exam but I’d like him to have the option to do it!
