Work colleagues kids go to same school

Our two kids and one of my work colleagues kids go to the same school (1 year apart), and our youngest will be in the same class as their youngest too. I'm a bit anxious that this closeness may cause issues. We both work together in the same office. Has anyone else experienced this before? How has it been?

Why would it cause issues OP? Do you get on with the colleague?

@notavailabletoday well I haven't had any disagreements with her but she was asking a lot of questions about my part time hours and me working extra hours (she's full time and wants off more) also her eldest has just been diagnosed with asd and our eldest is on the waiting list to be assessed. I think I'm more worried about our youngest as he'll be in the same class as her youngest, I don't want comparisons /competition to arise and I feel like it will which could make things uncomfortable in the office (it's quite toxic).

My work colleague's daughter and mine were in the same class at school. They fell out, still don't speak to each other 5 years later. There was never an issue at work with my colleague.

Back in the day my dm used to hear about my exam results from her colleague whose son was in the same class as me. I think dm pretended she already knew them.
