Private sixth form colleges offering BTEC?

Hello All 👋
I'm trying to find a private sixth form college in central, north or north-west London which offers BTECS as my son will probably take this path not A level post GCSE and would benefit from a smaller nurturing ethos / environment. I'm finding it hard to find a private sixth form setting that offers anything other than A levels....
I would be so grateful for any advice / recommendations from this wise community!
Many thanks 🙏

Thank you Soma very kind of you 🙏 My son is currently at King Alfred School, which has been great, but they don't offer much beyond A level at sixth form and sadly he's not into performing arts or the UAL diploma would have been perfect! Many thanks again Royal Russell is new to me will have a look at it 🙏

Slightly off topic but if he is interested in agriculture and wouldn't mind boarding Greshams school in Norfolk has an agriculture BTec offering.

Tennissquare not at all off topic! This is our top choice for him but he doesn't want to leave London sadly 🤦🏻‍♀️ fabulous caring school 🙏

Royal Russell looks lovely - but in Croydon, very far away from us in North London sadly 😞

If you could afford a year of boarding, you could try a Foundation course at St Andrew’s College in Cambridge. As it is only one year, he might then be too young for university, but it depends on whether that is his goal or not.

I appreciate you say he doesn't want to leave London and you say you want private. However, Sparshalt College near Winchester has boarding, many options and has a good reputation for being small and nurturing.

@tamstertam

I had a little browse to see whether there were any other schools which could be considered, OP.

Although I don't know this school personally, I can see one not far away called Mount House, which looks very nice. They do offer an alternative to A Levels, which is the IBCP. It's not a BTEC, though.

It does seem to be a lovely, caring school, though.

PS

Which subjects would he be especially interested in, OP?

Is he thinking about any particular directions re employment once he has left school?

Royal Russell offers boarding, and although Croydon gets a bad press, it is in a nice part of Croydon. Students can get the tram into town, and in your son's case to East Croydon Station where he can get a train into London. It would be a big commute to do on a daily basis.

I have a friend whose son is at Royal Russell and they are both very happy with the school.

Glenalmond offers a BTEC in land management and the choice of Scottish Highers or English A levels. Bit far from London though!
