Reconfirm childcare ?

My son is due to start reception in September . He’s just left nursery and at the time was getting 30 hours free childcare.
I’ve had an email through which says I need to reconfirm my details . Do I ignore this message now as he no longer will have the 30 hours or would i need to contact someone to let them know he’s starting reception.
any advice is much appreciated , thank you.

Normally when you reconfirm it’s for both 30h and tax free together. If you don’t get tax free then don’t reconfirm, if you do then definitely reconfirm as if not you will lose it. You’ll get a code for the 30h potentially but you just won’t use it. I had the same query when my eldest started school and I rang them and they said that you can’t do it separately so to just reconfirm and then only use the tax free. Once your dc turns 5, the 30h will disappear from your account.

Ahh great , thank you . Yeh we didn’t get the tax free part . I find it all a bit confusing, so thanks again
