Its that time when I have to start thinking of secondary school applications for my children and it is very stressful. We are thinking of moving to North Harrow to get our kids into Nower Hill Secondary.
My concern is about their SEND support. My son is on the spectrum and needs support with emotional regulation. His primary school is very good and the teachers are always trying ways to help him manage his emotions and behaviour. I have heard stories from other parents that everything changes when you start secondary schools, and how some secondary schools just don't offer the kind of support you get at primary.
Has any parent got a child at Nower Hill or know of any child at Nower Hill who has SEND support that can advise me as to whether they are good with SEND kids and how good. I am doing the research with the school, but of course their advice will be biased saying that they help SEND kids all the time. Real parental experience and advice counts more, so I would be grateful if anyone with experience can advise.
