im looking for advice really, my ds is 8 and currently in private education. I’m taking him out at Christmas due to fee and vat increases. I’m looking to move to Falmouth or Hayle would love somewhere in that area where kids still play out. I’m trying to give him a wholesome an upbringing as possible. Also am I right in thinking some schools do surfing or is that more secondary?

Falmouth and Hayle are both very mixed towns so do your research on neighbourhoods and school catchments.

There's hardly any surfing on the south coast so if you are specifically interested in surfing you should look at a north coast location.

As far as I know Cornish schools don't have surfing on their curriculum! Some may have some trips to the beach but again, if you are specifically interested in surfing then join a club. Surf life saving clubs are also excellent for kids so look them up.

I think that the secondary schools in Newquay (north coast) have surfing as one of their PE options and several primaries in that general area (north) will do a summer term surf thing for their PE sessions.
