Fully Funded degree at Urdang

Hello,
When a young person gains a “fully funded” scholarship to study at Urdang, would you assume that all fees and all accommodation are paid for?
thank you x

Depends how it came about, eg. is it merit-based, means-tested, or both.

I wouldn’t assume accommodation, food, bills, travel etc would be included, though I know in the US this is possible (though I assume rare).

@Mummytobe33

Do you know which organisation provides the funding for the scholarship, OP?

I ask because there seems to be an Andrew Lloyd Webber scholarship for Urdang.

I don’t think I’d assume anything, but ask them the question clearly and directly - it’s too important (and potentially costly!) to make any incorrect assumptions about, when it’s easy enough to email admissions and get a definitive answer.

I’m unsure of the provider, but know that someone in my daughters school received one, but I don’t know them well enough to ask about the finances they have received

The Andrew Lloyd Webber one says "the Scholarship will cover course fees only", but that's still excellent for the person to whom it's awarded, I would say.

As Urdang is now part of City University and the course is a BA(Hons), this could mean that students with or without a scholarship can apply for a maintenance loan to cover accommodation in the way that other students do.

Best to check.

Do you have a child hoping to apply for something similar?
