Ideas for Yr 1 apps/ summer learning

Hello,
My DS has just finished Yr1 at a fairly academic school and while he’s getting on well, it’s very clear he’s behind a lot of his peers in reading and maths. I’m not overly concerned but I would love to do some structured practise with him over the summer - does anyone have any websites / apps / books they would recommend?

For math we use ‘hit the button’ (a free app) and strongly recommend cubie (book subscription - offer summer only packages, I believe)

For reading we do a summer reading challenge (they earn 1p per page read), Nessy (website, requires subscription) and Mrs. Wordsmith workbooks (far better than the cpg ones usually recommended).

they have a menu of options and every day pick one thing from each category.

That's amazing, thank you so much!

My son loved Reading Eggs and Mathseeds (same company) at that age. It got us through Lockdown and gave him a good head start. Lots of fun games and visual explanations, it starts at your child’s level then builds up gradually from there.
